A stepping stone is typically a randomly shaped stone for pathways through gardens or gravel beds, while pavers are interconnecting slabs for walkways, patios, and driveways.
The first step is planning and excavating. In this part of PA, that is enough to allow for the paver depth (usually 2-3/8"), 1" of bedding sand and 6" of compacted stone base. After excavation and appropriate grading, start laying your pavers. Do any cuts that are needed then apply paver edging. Finally, apply your joint sand. Last step, make some memories!
